Dr. Christopher Fauver is from Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 1993 with his DDS degree, after which he completed an additional year of postgraduate work at Ft. Campbell in Kentucky. This U.S. Army Advanced Education Residency in General Dentistry helped prepare Dr. Fauver for his experiences in Bosnia, Croatia, and Hungary, where he was deployed for a year in support of IFOR Operation Joint Endeavor. While there, Dr. Fauver ran a one-man dental clinic that supported 10,000 soldiers, including all of NATO and some soldiers in the Russian Army and Air Force.
Dr. Fauver also served five years active duty in the Army, stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, and he has been serving in the Vermont Army National Guard since 2003. Honors Dr. Fauver has been awarded include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Army Humanitarian Service Medal, and NATO medal.
Dr. Fauver has been practicing private general dentistry since 2001, and he’s happy to be providing the Springfield community with the excellent, friendly dental care you deserve. The office Dr. Fauver purchased has been open in Springfield, VT since 1968, and he is proud to serve the families of Bellows Falls, Chester, and Ludlow Vermont, as well as Claremont and Charleston, New Hampshire. Dr. Fauver and his family are active in the community.
In addition to being the Vermont State Dental Surgeon, Dr. Fauver takes many hours of continuing education and training each year to stay up-to-date in his field. Courses he has completed include short-term orthodontics (6 Month Braces) and CEREC basic and advanced training to provide one-visit crowns.
In his personal life, Dr. Fauver enjoys traveling, skiing, golf, kayaking, and scuba diving. He loves to spend time with his wife and two children.
